Canadian pop singer Alanis Morissette has become the latest international star to cancel a concert in Indonesia due to security fears, promoters said Tuesday.

Morissette was due to perform Sunday in the capital, Jakarta, but pulled out following a U.S. travel advisory Sept. 3 warning of possible terror attacks in Indonesia, concert promoter Rini Noor told a local TV station.

Six days after the advisory was issued, a suicide bombing outside the Australian Embassy killed nine people and injured more than 170.

The attack prompted American R&B; singer Alicia Keys and British violin act Bond to cancel their concerts in Jakarta.
