Pacers Keep Grip on the Heat

Stephen Jackson missed 10 consecutive shots at one point before things got better quickly.

Jackson forced overtime by making a three-point basket with 0.2 seconds left, then put the Pacers ahead for good on another three-pointer with 1:54 remaining to lead Indiana to a 114-108 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night.

“I get down on myself a lot, but my team constantly tells me, ‘You have one more big one in you,” ’ he said.

It was the third straight overtime game between the teams, and Indiana extended its regular-season winning streak over the Heat to 12 in a row by overcoming a six-point deficit with 1:43 left.

Jackson finished with 29 points, and Reggie Miller had 31.

For Miami, Dwyane Wade scored 37 points, Damon Jones had 27 and Shaquille O’Neal 24. O’Neal did not score in overtime.

Chicago 102, Cleveland 90 -- Overcoming LeBron James’ game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer in regulation, the Bulls scored the first 11 points of overtime and beat the visiting Cavaliers for their eighth consecutive victory.

Tyson Chandler scored five of his 15 points in overtime and had 14 rebounds for Chicago. Ben Gordon scored 21 and had a career-high eight assists.

Drew Gooden had 27 points and 12 rebounds for Cleveland and James added 26 on 10-of-28 shooting, missing all three of his shots in overtime.
