A 50-year-old Claremont man was found stabbed to death in his home Sunday, and sheriff’s detectives said they were looking for his 28-year-old son.
“Detectives have not determined whether [the son] was involved in his father’s murder or is himself a second victim,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
The stabbing victim was identified as Mark Robertson. He was found dead with “multiple stab wounds” after family members went to his home in the 200 block of South Mills Avenue on Sunday morning because “they had not heard from the victim,” said Sheriff’s Deputy Alba Yates.
Detectives were seeking the public’s assistance in locating Robertson’s son, Clint, who lived with him. Also missing was a white Ford pickup truck. The license plate is 6U42662.
Clint Robertson was described by sheriff’s deputies as 6 feet 2 and weighing 225 pounds.
Anyone with information about the crime or Clint Robertson’s whereabouts is asked to call detectives at (323) 890-5500.
