2 Hurt Slightly When Driver Slams Into Shop
From Times Staff Reports
A 19-year-old woman who mistakenly stepped on her car’s accelerator instead of the brake pedal drove into a doughnut shop Wednesday morning, injuring two people, authorities said.
Police did not release the driver’s name or those of the customer and employee of DK’s Donuts in the 3700 block of East Chapman Avenue who were treated for minor injuries.
The crash occurred about 6 a.m.
She was not cited pending the outcome of an investigation, police said.
