63 Injured in Bull Run Near Madrid
A running of the bulls in a Spanish town outside the capital left 63 people injured, two of them seriously, officials said.
The pair were taken from San Sebastian de los Reyes to hospitals in Madrid for surgery, said Angel Pesquera, a spokesman for the town’s emergency unit. During the run, people were momentarily trapped in a pileup at the bullring’s entrance, where the run ends. Some of the bulls trampled the mound of people in their effort to enter the ring, causing many injuries.
