Hundreds Arrested Before Final Voting

Police arrested hundreds of activists from the banned Muslim Brotherhood just before the final round of Egypt’s parliamentary elections, officials and activists said.
More than 10 million Egyptians are eligible to vote in today’s third round of balloting, with 136 parliamentary seats being contested by 1,774 candidates.
Polling place violence severely curbed turnout in the second round of voting after the Brotherhood made gains in the relatively peaceful first stage.
