The GOP is failing California

Re “State at Risk to Lose Billions,”

Even as we may see light at the end of the tunnel for California’s budget woes, the Republicans once more prove their loyalty to their party over the people they are supposed to represent.

They passed a tax cut for the wealthiest while cutting the budget on the backs of children, the elderly and the less fortunate, voting against the interests of Californians because it is what the president and the Republican Party want.

The California delegation to Congress needs to be sent a message: You represent California, not the Republican Party or the president, and if you cannot put our interests first, then we need to get people who will. Midterm elections are one year away.

If they do not stop voting against our best interests, we will stop voting for theirs.
