Attack Thwarted When Motorcycle Hits Bomber

A man who tried to attack a Canadian troop convoy in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar was killed when a motorcycle hit him and set off his explosives, officials said. The motorcycle driver also died.
U.S. and Afghan officials called the attacker a suicide bomber, but a police officer at the scene said the man apparently tried to throw a grenade.
