NEED any more evidence of the decline of our civilization? Katie “Navy SEALs Rock” Couric is being considered as CBS’ next evening news anchor [“Couric Is on CBS’ Wish List,” by Matea Gold, Dec. 2]. The current movie “Good Night, and Good Luck” reminds us that the legacy of CBS’ Edward R. Murrow is as distant as its portrayal in black and white.
