6th Arrest Is Made in Apparent Gang Shooting

A sixth alleged gang member has been taken into custody in the shooting death of a 16-year-old Santiago High School student, police said Friday.
Juan Manzanares, 20, was arrested at his Garden Grove home about 8 p.m. Thursday, said Police Lt. Mike Handfield. Manzanares was booked on suspicion of the Dec. 6 slaying of Abraham Ortega, who police believe was a rival gang member.
Manzanares is being held at the County Jail in lieu of $1-million bail.
Jesus Antonio Guerrero of Santa Ana and Armando Dejesus Solano of Garden Grove, both 20, and three boys, ages 14, 16 and 17, were arrested Thursday.
