Meteor Shower to Peak During Full Moon

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The annual Geminid meteor shower will reach its peak Tuesday, but only the brightest meteorites will be visible -- about one every five to 10 minutes -- because the moon will be full that night.

Beginning about 10 p.m., the meteors will descend from the east, but by morning they will be coming from the west. For the best viewing, stand with the moon to your back.
