Fire at Radio City Holds Up the Show
From Associated Press
NEW YORK —
A small fire broke out in Radio City Music Hall on Monday during a performance of its “Christmas Spectacular,” sending the audience into the street, along with the Rockettes, camels and Santa Claus.
The audience returned after 45 minutes, and the show went on, said Jonathan Tisch, chairman of the city tourism bureau, who was attending the program.
“Everybody left very quickly, very calmly,” he said. “The Radio City people did a great job.”
