Half of the six fillies and mares entered in today’s seventh at Santa Anita have a victory over the local turf course.

Grecian, Reality Show and Midwife are a combined three for four over the Arcadia lawn while Silver Cup, Beautyandthebeast and Eternal Melody will all be making their first start here in the $60,000 allowance at one mile.

Owned by Arnold Zetcher LLC, Grecian, a 4-year-old bred in Argentina, won three of 10 in her native land before scoring a 12-1 upset in her U.S. debut Sept. 29. She will break from the rail in the small field, and Victor Espinoza will ride for trainer Ron McAnally.

Trained by owner Jedd Josephson, Midwife is one for two at Santa Anita but has been idle since finishing third in a Grade III race on May 21 at Golden Gate Fields. Patrick Valenzuela will ride the 4-year-old Family Calling filly, who has won four of seven on the turf.

Race of the day: Dontstealmythunder, who broke her maiden in her most recent start Dec. 3 at Sam Houston Race Park, will try for a second consecutive turf win when she takes on six other 2-year-old fillies in today’s ninth at Louisiana Downs. Roman Chapa will ride the daughter of Thunder Gulch for owner-breeder Pin Oak Stable and trainer Michael Stidham in the $41,000 optional claimer at about one mile.

One for the road: Remorse makes his first start for high-percentage trainer Bruce Levine and can win in his first appearance since a maiden score Oct. 10 in today’s sixth at Aqueduct. Eibar Coa, who rode a winner for the stable Wednesday, has the call on the 2-year-old Regal Classic gelding for owner Kingfield Stables in the $43,000 allowance for New York breds at six furlongs.

Exotically speaking: A place pick all using Aureliano in the first; Full Moon Madness in the second; Great Opinions and Vamp in the third; Kristine’s King and Gold Bankers Gold in the fourth; Presidential Cause and Outrageous Limit in the fifth; Klamathfallsasleep in the sixth; Eternal Melody and Beautyandthebeast in the seventh; and Larry King in the eighth.
