Comfortable at IKEA

Share

I go to IKEA to read Swedish books (“Going Home,” by Deborah Netburn, Jan. 23). I am not Swedish, and I can’t read Swedish, but I make the trip anyway about once a month. I pick a book at random from one of the bookshelves, make myself comfortable in one of the display living rooms and spend a mind-expanding hour trying to decipher the words.

It’s all about getting lost--in myself, in the surroundings. The feeling that I’m in my own private room in a public setting adds to the experience.
