Ivan Radenovic made two free throws with nine seconds left Thursday night to lift No. 9 Arizona to a 57-56 overtime victory over Washington State.

Derrick Low’s three-point shot for Washington State rimmed out in the closing seconds and Radenovic rebounded for the Wildcats, 24-4 overall and 14-2 in the Pacific 10, who avoided being swept by the Cougars (10-14, 5-10) with their 17th consecutive victory at Pullman, Wash.

It was the seventh consecutive victory for the Wildcats since losing to Washington State at Tucson on Jan. 29. They remained in first place in the Pac-10 entering Saturday’s game at No. 14 Washington.

Oregon 63, California 58 -- Bryce Taylor scored 15 points and Aaron Brooks broke a late tie with two free throws to lift the Ducks (13-11, 5-10) to victory at Eugene, Ore.

The win kept alive the Ducks’ chances of making the Pac-10 tournament, as they moved into a three-way tie for seventh place in league with the Golden Bears (12-13, 5-10) and Washington State. The conference tournament takes the top eight teams.
