Delphi Financial Group Inc., an employee benefits services company, said it suspended two employees responsible for its Safety National Casualty Corp. unit’s relationship with Marsh & McLennan Cos.
Marsh, the world’s largest insurance broker, was one of several companies targeted by New York Atty. Gen. Eliot Spitzer in October of colluding with insurers to rig prices.
Wilmington, Del.-based Delphi in an internal review said it found a “limited” number of “potential issues concerning past insurance solicitation practices” between Safety National and Marsh, involving “modest” premiums.
Delphi announced the suspensions after U.S. markets closed.
