Higher Court Filing Fees to Be Charged

An additional $2 in first-paper filing fees will be charged for civil, family and probate actions in Los Angeles Superior Court when the courts reopen Monday.
There is also a $2 increase for some other filings, court officials said.
The Board of Supervisors approved the fee increases Oct. 26.
