Joel Egan Baldwin, 37, of Arlington, Va.; chief petty officer, Navy. Baldwin was among a group of U.S. troops killed Dec. 21 by a suicide bomber who infiltrated a military mess hall near Mosul. He was assigned to Mobile Construction Battalion 77 in Gulfport, Miss.

Pablito Pena Briones Jr., 22, of Anaheim; seaman, Navy. Briones died of a nonhostile gunshot Tuesday in Fallouja. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Division Detachment, Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

Eric Hillenburg, 21, of Marion, Ind.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Hillenburg died Dec. 23 in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Jason A. Lehto, 31, of Mount Clemens, Mich.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps Reserve. Lehto was killed Tuesday in a nonhostile incident in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Group 47, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Reserve in Mount Clemens.

Nathaniel J. Nyren, 31, of Reston, Va.; staff sergeant, Army. Nyren died Tuesday when a civilian vehicle struck his military vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Todd D. Olson, 36, of Loyal, Wis.; staff sergeant, Army National Guard. Olson died Monday of wounds suffered Dec. 26 when an improvised explosive device detonated in Samarra.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 128th Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard in Neillsville, Wis.

James R. Phillips, 21, of Hillsboro, Fla.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Phillips died Dec. 23 in enemy action in Al Anbar province.

He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Jose A. Rivera-Serrano, 26, of Mayaquez, Puerto Rico; specialist, Army. Rivera-Serrano was killed Monday when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned

Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Oscar Sanchez, 19, of Modesto; private first class, Army. Sanchez was killed Wednesday in a car bombing at his observation post in Mosul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Raleigh C. Smith, 21, of Lincoln, Mont.; corporal, Marine Corps. Smith died Dec. 23 in enemy action in Al Anbar province.

He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.
