From Bloomberg News

Microsoft Corp. is working with BellSouth Corp., Yahoo Inc., TiVo Inc. and Viacom Inc.’s MTV Networks to bolster its efforts to sell more software for home-entertainment devices.

BellSouth, the third-largest U.S. local telephone company, is testing Microsoft software to deliver television feeds to TV sets over the Internet. Yahoo and MTV will design Internet video services for entertainment computers running Microsoft software.

Microsoft, facing slower growth in the market for personal computer software, is trying to promote new categories of home devices that use its Windows programs to share music, video and photos.
