Project to aid tsunami victims

The National Assn. of Realtors has donated $50,000 to launch a project to aid the victims of the tsunami that ravaged southern Asian countries in December.
The association is working with international partners in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand to identify the best means to deliver relief to those in greatest need, according to Al Mansell, the trade group’s president.
Mansell urged Realtors to contribute to the project beyond the initial startup donation. The public may also contribute to the fund.
All administrative costs will be absorbed by the association, with 100% of donations going directly to aid victims. Contributions are tax deductible.
