The profiles of the La Conchita residents who tragically lost their lives in the mudslide were insightful and touching (Jan. 12). As a result of reading about these men, I am suspending my judgment of why someone would choose to live in such a slide-prone area. There’s way more to this than just beachfront real estate and geology.
