‘Les Liaisons’ all set to seduce
“Les Liaisons Dangereuses” tells of seductive intrigue and gamesmanship among cruelly jaded French aristocrats aiming to corrupt a virtuous woman; Choderlos de Laclos published the original novel in 1782 and Christopher Hampton adapted it for the stage in 1985 (and as a film with Glenn Close, John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer in 1988). Now, Stagestheatre revives the period piece, presumably with lots of lace and frill.
