Continuing a price war, discount brokerage Charles Schwab Corp. said Thursday that it eliminated some account fees, retroactive to Jan. 1.

The San Francisco-based company did away with service fees on brokerage accounts, education savings accounts, custodial accounts and college-saver accounts for customers with at least $25,000 in household assets at Schwab.
