From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The Airport Commission decided Tuesday to hold off on providing $7 million to Inglewood to soundproof homes under the flight path of Los Angeles International Airport.

The commissioners said they had reservations about giving money to communities that are suing over a plan to modernize LAX.

Inglewood and Culver City joined a lawsuit filed by Los Angeles County against the city of Los Angeles last month that contends that environmental studies done for the airport plan violate state law.
