Labor Group Won’t Back Weiss’ Reelection

The county Federation of Labor decided this week not to endorse City Councilman Jack Weiss for reelection.
The decision came after leaders of building trades unions objected to his vote against large construction projects, including an $11-billion expansion of Los Angeles International Airport.
A committee of the Federation of Labor had recommended an endorsement of Weiss.
