Records -- USC 9-10 overall, 2-6 in Pacific 10; UCLA 10-6, 4-4.

Update -- USC’s seniors have won five of six and four in a row against their UCLA counterparts, yet the Bruins are still seen as the measuring stick in town. Does that bother the Trojans? “Not really,” said USC senior guard Errick Craven, who is averaging 17 points in his last four games against UCLA. “Overall, they have a better record than us. We’re inconsistent. We have to prove we can put a season together.” USC has made more of a commitment to converting on its steals, but turnovers have been the Trojans’ Achilles’ heel. “Those are four-point swings,” interim Coach Jim Saia said. “You go from a basket for us to an easy basket for them.” In the Trojans’ 78-77 overtime win at the Sports Arena last season, power forward Jeff McMillan had 19 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. Expect USC to pound the ball inside and challenge the Bruins to shoot from the outside.
