Molina and King/Drew
In the June 24 article, “Auditors Fault Top Doctor at Hospital,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina is quoted as saying of Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, “I personally have given up on this hospital.” The supervisor’s comment is profoundly disturbing and offensive. Has Molina given up on the patients who depend on the hospital as well?
I work as a nursing attendant at the hospital, and can state that the vast majority of my co-workers are wholeheartedly committed to the hospital and its patients. Apparently our efforts to ensure King/Drew’s survival and success will have to continue without the supervisor’s support.
