Greta VAN SUSTEREN [“Straight From Van Susteren,” by Matea Gold, July 20] can proudly say she embodies the very essence of “news” in the early 21st century. Gossip, pseudo porn, terror and distorted reporting have turned Americans into the best-entertained and least-informed people in the world -- easy pickings for religious fanatics and political manipulators.
