Boy, 16, Is Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver

A 16-year-old boy died Sunday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver as he and two other people crossed Harbor Boulevard at La Palma Avenue, police said.
The boy’s name was not released.
A dark-colored SUV, possibly a Cadillac Escalade, struck the boy about 1:30 a.m. Police said the driver did not stop and continued south on Harbor Boulevard.
Police said the pedestrians may have been crossing against a red light. The accident is under investigation.
