Hunting item misses the mark

Regarding “More Hunting Land Planned” [July 19]: The brief describes a proposal to expand hunting at two national wildlife refuges but presents only one side of the issue. There are no quotes from anyone who supports the expansion or an explanation of why the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service is proposing it.
Calling Ducks Unlimited a “hunting advocacy group” missed the mark as well. Though the group was founded by waterfowl hunters and its members seek to preserve the sport for future generations, its focus is on the conservation, restoration and management of wetlands.
