Suspected Bank Robber in Critical Condition
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A suspected serial bank robber dubbed “Buddy Holly” remained hospitalized Saturday after police shot him following an alleged holdup.
Guy William Savage, 35, of Buena Park was listed in critical condition, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.
Savage and an alleged accomplice, transient David A. Miranda, 51, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. Both men could face federal bank robbery charges, Eimiller said.
Savage is suspected in 11 bank heists since January 2004, authorities said.
