All about trees

There’s not much glitz to this website -- the few graphics look as if they were plucked from a 1950s science textbook -- but there is no question that it is chock full of information about trees.

Created by the nonprofit International Society of Arboriculture, the site is true to its mission to educate the public on the “value of proper tree care,” from choosing the right tree to avoiding tree damage during construction.

The copy-dense site also gives detailed information about determining tree quality, pruning, mulching techniques and filling dirt around existing trees. But more often than not, the suggested solution to specific tree problems is to consult or hire an ISA certified arborist. Not surprisingly, the website can help you locate one.
