Free mediation in neighbor disputes

Re “That’s Right Neighborly of You” [June 16]: Los Angeles County provides a free mediation service, which operates under the aegis of the Los Angeles city attorney. The Dispute Resolution Program is available to any Los Angeles County resident at no cost.
Trained volunteer mediators are available weekdays. Neighbor disputes are quite common and mediators expend significant effort to help participants in finding acceptable solutions.
Mediators are also often involved with landlord-tenant disputes and customer-vendor disputes. Mediators can be reached at (213) 485-8324.
