Landslide-Damaged Home to Be Demolished
A demolition crew today is scheduled to knock down the remains of an Anaheim Hills home that was severely damaged last month by a slow-moving landslide, which also threatened two other hillside homes.
Anaheim officials made the decision Thursday after city-hired geologists warned them that the unfinished structure’s northernmost wall could collapse onto a neighboring home.
The property in danger is at 349 Ramsgate Drive. That home was built on caissons -- or concrete pilings -- and has shown no signs of sliding, city officials said.
