Officials Tuesday identified a bicyclist struck and killed by a car as Charles Richard Hughes, 79, of Huntington Beach.
He was hit Monday evening while crossing Atlanta Avenue east of Delaware Street. He was not in a crosswalk, said Lt. Craig Junginger of the Huntington Beach Police Department. Hughes died at the scene.
