High Standards, the other unbeaten, is more accomplished. A gelded son of High Brite owned and bred by John Harris and trained by Marty Jones, High Standards has won at three tracks under three jockeys. Mike Smith will be aboard today.

Successful against $50,000 maidens in his bow at Hollywood Park on Nov. 25, High Standards went north and won an allowance race at Bay Meadows, then made his Santa Anita bow with a 7-1 upset in the Baldwin a day before Sea My Halo made his debut at Charles Town.

Race of the day: Cativa, who has won four in a row and 10 of 18, will look for her third win at Aqueduct in today’s $150,000 Distaff Breeders’ Cup Handicap. Edgar Prado will ride the 5-year-old Sir Cat mare in the Grade II at seven furlongs for Manorwood Stables and Sanford Goldfarb and trainer Rick Dutrow Jr.

One for the road: Austin should improve second time out for trainer Christophe Clement as the 3-year-old Commitisize colt drops slightly in class in today’s seventh at Gulfstream Park. Eddie Castro will ride in the $32,000 claimer at 1 1/8 miles on the turf. Austin draws a better post after racing wide throughout in his debut on Feb. 24.
