The bomb threat that delayed the game between the Detroit Pistons and the Indiana Pacers for 1 hour 25 minutes Friday at Auburn Hills, Mich., was one of four received that night regarding the game, police said.

The game was delayed after a caller told officials at the Palace there was a bomb in the Pacers’ locker room. It was Indiana’s first game in Detroit since a brawl Nov. 19 between the teams that spilled into the stands, and back onto the court.

“Detectives are working with Palace personnel and their phone provider in an attempt to identify the person who called in the threat,” Auburn Hills police said Saturday.

After the news of the first threat became public, police said a second threat was called in to its communications center. The Palace switchboard also received two more bomb threats at the end of the game, police said.

It does not appear the calls were made by the same person, police said, and all the calls were being investigated.

Washington Wizard center Brendan Haywood is expected to be out two to four weeks after breaking the tip of his left thumb.

Haywood injured the thumb while trying to block a shot in the fourth quarter of the Wizards’ loss to the Clippers on Friday.

Ernie Grunfeld, the team’s president of basketball operations, said Haywood would consult with a hand specialist Monday.

The Wizards are trying for their first playoff berth since 1997.

The Utah Jazz put forward Andrei Kirilenko on the injured list and activated center Jarron Collins.

Kirilenko, out for the rest of the season, broke his left wrist Thursday night against Washington. An All-Star last season, he played only 41 games this season and sat out 26 after spraining a knee ligament in November.

Collins sat out the last 10 games because of a sprained shoulder. He started Saturday night against Milwaukee.
