Movie awards: MTV’s 2005 Movie Awards will be handed out at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. June 4, the network said Tuesday. They’ll be taped for a June 9 telecast.

Baseball film: Kirk Ellis, whose script for “Anne Frank” garnered an Emmy nomination in 2001, will tackle a screenplay about Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey, the key men in the integration of baseball in 1947. Among the producers will be Howard Baldwin and Karen Baldwin, part of the producing team on “Ray,” and Robert Redford.
