Now About That Announcer Move ...

Memo to the Laker front office:

When the Bill Macdonald-Joel Meyers experiment fails, you can rehire Paul Sunderland for twice his former salary (Jerry, see Rudy Tomjanovich, Frank Hamblen, Phil Jackson).

Mr. Mariani, a bad team will generate bad ratings (Mitch, see Brian Grant: $14 million for three points and three rebounds a game).

Sunderland out? Is Buss high on Viagra? Is Laker VP Mariani taking too many martini lunches? Sunderland was a bright and vibrant light to many disappointed Laker fans. Chick would have been proud of the job Sunderland did. Unbelievable that the Lakers are considering Joel Meyers for this job.

Are they kidding? This guy’s a wannabe comedian. What next: Will the Lakers be holding a job fair at the Comedy Club?

I see where T.J. Simers thinks it was OK for the Lakers to fire Paul Sunderland because he didn’t have any humor or flair, and treated basketball as a serious business. On this one, I think we have to listen to Simers, because no one has ever taken him seriously.
