Police Seek Gunman in Fatal Shooting on Street

Los Angeles police were searching for a man who shot and killed another man in the street early Saturday in the Westlake area west of downtown.
Officers received a report of the shooting about 2:50 a.m. The victim, Chester Clarence Chang, 26, of Santa Monica, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police asked for the public’s help in finding the shooter, who witnesses said got into a Lexus and was last seen driving north on Berendo Street.
