Police Identify Man Found Dismembered
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The man whose dismembered body was found scattered in San Bernardino County this weekend was identified by police Wednesday as a 73-year-old retiree from San Bernardino. Investigators said they believed he was killed in his residence.
Charles Gillespie apparently lived in the home of his caretaker, authorities said.
Gillespie’s legal conservator, Charmain Bergmann, was interviewed by police, but neither she nor anyone else has been identified as a suspect, San Bernardino Police Sgt. Mike Desrochers said.
