New player alert: Kristofer Keith, the owner of the Bowery, a New York-style bar and bistro at Sunset and Vine. Keith, who co-owns with partners George Adou-Daoud and Anthoni Falati, opened the 2-week-old Bowery with the Lower East Side in mind. Think black subway tiles and buttery burgers. Keith also designed and built actress Jeri Ryan’s L.A. restaurant Ortolan, as well as restaurateur Andre Guerroro’s Senor Fred and Max. In addition, Keith’s been tapped to design Guerroro’s upcoming Eagle Rock joint, the Oinkster.... Tony Hawk threw a stellar, carny-style bash at a Beverly Hills mansion on Oct. 23 to support the Tony Hawk Foundation, which builds skate parks in urban areas. Partygoers included Jakob Dylan, who was checking out skater Bob Burnquist in the half pipe. Also on the scene were David Spade, Arsenio Hall, Anthony Kiedis and Flea, who were treated to a quick set by Pennywise. And speaking of Pennywise, the Hermosa Beach band took over the Vault 350 in Long Beach over the weekend for two-sold out shows. Guests on Friday included Vandals/Perfect Circle drummer Josh Freese and Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir, who was celebrating his b-day.... Kiefer Sutherland checked out Royal Jelly, the new Wednesday night bump-and-grind spectacular at Forty Deuce. Bada-bing!

Pink joins the cause

Pink is lending her star power to Wedrock, a benefit concert for Freedom to Marry, an organization that supports gay marriage. The event takes place on Monday at Avalon, and Kelly Osbourne, Margaret Cho, actor Alan Cumming and singer Nina Hagen are also expected.... Say hello to religion row. Fred Eric says he just sold the Hillhurst Avenue building that houses his 12-year-old Los Feliz restaurant, Vida, to a developer who’s turning it into a Kabbalah center. Also on the block is a Church of Scientology.... We hear Shelter on Sunset Boulevard (formerly the Coconut Teaszer) is moving to a new Hollywood Boulevard location and in its place is now Privilege.

Aiken’s heartache

Crooner Clay Aiken says this year’s “Joyful Noise” tour is a real tear-jerker. “Even though I know the ending, it still chokes me up,” says Aiken, who brings his Christmas show to Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Nov. 9 & 10. Teri Hatcher and her daughter Emerson Rose got a sneak peek when they checked out a recent rehearsal.... Sir Bono was at last Wednesday’s soft opening party for Teddy’s, the new bar at the old Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
