Palestinian Official Quits, May Run for Seat
From Times Wire Reports
Palestinian Authority Finance Minister Salam Fayyad, who has tried to force parliament to carry out fiscal austerity measures, has submitted his resignation.
Fayyad said he wanted to step down because he was considering running in Palestinian legislative elections in January. He turned in his resignation several days ago.
