Holiday closures

The following schedule will be in effect today in the Inland Empire for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Riverside County

Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, UC Riverside, Riverside Community College, College of the Desert, Mt. San Jacinto College or Palo Verde College.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Banks: Most will be closed.

Libraries: County and city libraries will be closed.

Public transportation: Riverside Transit Agency buses will not be in service. Sunline Transit Agency and most city transportation will not be in service. Metrolink trains will have a special Thanksgiving schedule. Details: (800) 371-LINK (5465) or www.metrolinktrains.com.

Trash: Trash will not be collected. Pickup will be delayed a day.

Government: City, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.

San Bernardino County

Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, Loma Linda University, Crafton Hill College or Barstow Community College or the University of Redlands.

Banks: Banks will be closed.

Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.

Libraries: County and city libraries will be closed.
