vs. Eastern Washington, 1 p.m. PST

Site -- Sullivan Arena, Anchorage.

Radio -- 1540.

Records -- USC 0-2, Eastern Washington 1-1.

Update -- The Trojans will try to avoid their first 0-3 start since the 1987-88 season by beating an Eastern Washington team that led Marquette late in the second half before losing, 83-73, in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout. Sophomore forward Jake Beitinger scored 17 points for the Eagles, who might have won had they made more than 18 of 34 free throws. Eastern Washington beat Pacific Lutheran, a NCAA Division III team, in its opener, 89-63. USC has made only 20% (nine of 45) of its three-point shots in opening the season with losses to Cal State Northridge and Oral Roberts. Nick Young (13 points) and Gabe Pruitt (11) were the only Trojans to score in double figures in a 68-48 loss to Oral Roberts on Wednesday.
