A 36-year-old woman with a prior conviction for child abuse allegedly abducted her two children from the Glendale home of their father and grandmother Saturday morning, police said.

Tom Lorenz, a Glendale police spokesman, said Rosanna Remey arrived at the house in the 700 block of North Isabel Street about 8 a.m. and told her son, River, 6, and daughter, Angie, 5, that they were leaving.

When the children’s grandmother tried to intervene, Remey allegedly pushed and struck her several times, Lorenz said.

Remey then left with the children in a gold 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, with the license plate number 5RBH974, he said.

River was last seen wearing a tan shirt, tan shorts and no shoes. Angie was wearing a floral print blouse and no shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Tracy Lowrey at (818) 548-3106 or Crime Stoppers at (818) 507-7867.
