Woman, 36, Dies After Being Struck by Car

An Anaheim woman died early Thursday after being struck by a car in Stanton, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
Sonya Reynolds, 36, was crossing Beach Boulevard about 300 feet from the Lampson Avenue intersection about 5 a.m. when she was hit by a car traveling north, said Sgt. Fred Furey.
Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene. Driver Ricardo Mendoza, 29, of Anaheim, who was not cited, was unhurt.
