Teacher Faces Prison in Marijuana Case
A substitute teacher faces up to 10 years and four months in prison after pleading no contest to five felony counts of furnishing marijuana to minors.
Christopher Bochin, 22, has sent a letter of apology to Fresno High School, where he was arrested in March after police said he was smoking marijuana with students.
Bochin entered his plea Monday in Fresno County Superior Court. His sentencing was scheduled for Dec. 9.
According to authorities, Bochin sent two students to his car to get marijuana and a pipe, then smoked with five students in a ninth-grade Earth science class.
