Woodruff writes to colleagues
ABC News on Thursday released the first photo of anchor Bob Woodruff since he sustained serious wounds in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq in late January -- a picture of him in the kitchen of his New York-area home.
Woodruff, who has made substantial progress, is starting outpatient treatment this week, a move he called “a blessing” in a message to colleagues. “Though I know there is still a long road ahead, it’s nice to be feeling more like myself again -- laughing with family, reading bedtime stories and reminding my kids to do their homework,” Woodruff wrote, adding, “I am putting all my effort toward getting back to work with you.”
