UC Riverside Posts Record Year for Gifts

Financial gifts and pledges to UC Riverside have doubled over last year to a record $40 million, Chancellor France A. Cordova announced Wednesday.
The institution, which is promoting the establishment of a medical school, received a $15.5-million charitable trust in June from business partners and Riverside natives, the largest contribution ever to the university. It will fund professorships in the social sciences, law, public policy, agriculture and medicine.
